We are shareholders of Solenco Power NV, a pioneer reality in planning and providing hydrogen-based products and services. In particular, the Belgian firm produces and stores the energy in systems that do not depend on the electric and gas distribution networks, offering zero-emission integrated solutions that optimize the energy output of renewable sources such as the revolutionary Solenco Powerbox™.
Solenco Powerbox™
This is integrated system can guarantee energy autonomy to residential units even when gas and energy distribution networks are not available: Solenco Powerbox™ integrates in one single system an electrolyzer, fuel cells and a hydrogen-based heat generator to offer top-notch energy efficiency at a lower cost.
Simply put, solar panels provide the required energy for water electrolysis. Electrolysis is the most common electrochemical process to resolve two water elements: hydrogen and oxygen.
The hydrogen obtained from water is used to store the energy in excess, when available, for future use: to reproduce electric energy with the integrated fuel cell or thermal energy with the integrated hydrogen-based heat generator.
Solenco Powerbox™ has all the components required for integrated control of electricity and heat. Its only module (stack) contains both the electrolyzer and the fuel cell to make it more compact and cost-effective. Powerbox is also provided with a water purifier and a control system with remote access option. The hydrogen storage is separated from the device for safety and space-saving purposes. The process doesn’t release CO₂ emissions: no greenhouse gases during production, distribution or when energy is used.
